How can counselling help?

Counselling allows the exploration of the causes of emotional distress that life difficulties can throw at you .

The aim is to offer a confidential and non-judgemental environment to explore the issues of concern to you.

During the first meeting we will discuss whether counselling can help.

Each session is normally for 1 hour and usually on a weekly basis which will depend on your requirements.

Some areas in which counselling can help.

Bereavement: when we loss someone we can feel as if time should stop, counselling can help in the grieving process.

Work-related stress can cause health and family life to suffer, counselling can help work through these issues.

Anxiety and phobias, counselling can look at the root known as the trigger of the problem and help move into the future by building self esteem and confidence.

Relationships: sometimes in life our relationships can go wrong or off course and counselling can help to readdress the balance and work through the issues.

Adult survivors of abuse often believe that the childhood abuse was of their own making, counselling helps work through the thinking and emotions that hold people back from life after abuse.

These are just a few areas that counselling can help!
